At DJ Global Wave Inc. (“Global Wave”, “we” or “us”), we sincerely value the trust that you have placed in our business. We have adopted this privacy policy (the “Policy”) to affirm our commitment to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of your personal information.

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard the personal information that you or a third party provide. Providing personal information or authorizing a third party to disclose personal information to us signifies your consent to Global Wave’s collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Policy.

If you do not consent to our practices concerning your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy, please do not provide personal information to Global Wave.

For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” means information that can identify an individual directly or through other reasonably available means. Identifying Purposes and Obtaining Your Consent

We identify the purposes for collecting your personal information at or before the time it is collected. We will not collect, use or disclose your personal information without your informed consent, unless required or permitted to do so by law.

As a participant in one of Global Wave’s tournaments, training camps, competitions, or other events or even just registering on our website to receive information, you may be required to provide us with certain information about yourself together with the personal information of those for whom you may be registering, including name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, credit card details, passport information, dietary restrictions, health information, and medication information.

The collection of this information is done for purposes relating to why you provided the personal information, such as to facilitate your participation in Global Wave events, arrangements relating to such events (such as tournaments, training camps, competition, festivals, etc), your safety, to process payments, to send newsletters, answering your requests for information, communicate with you about events for which you are registered or may be interested, tickets, merchandise offers and special promotions, to provide information about DJ Global Wave and its partners, business associates, corporate sponsors, suppliers, that we believe you may find interesting. Furthermore, this personal information allows us to understand the needs of our participants and/or potential participants and inform you about our events, products and services, or those of our partners, sponsors and/or business associates, that we believe may be of interest to you, via direct marketing, or through mail, telephone or electronic means, and conduct after-sales marketing.

If you are providing personal information on someone other than yourself, you are representing to Global Wave that you have such third parties’ consent to provide their personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Photographs and/or Videos

Global Wave collects and utilizes the personal information to administer and conduct the events, activities, training, competitions, tournaments, travel (the “Program”) and to collect and use the participant’s name, voice, statements, photograph, image, likeness, actions at the Program and/or participant’s biographical data in any live or recorded form (including, but not limited to, any form of video display or other transmission or reproduction), in whole or in part, for purposes of promoting Global Wave and/or any of the Programs associated with Global Wave, on standard and non-standard television, video, print, electronic and on-line media (including, without limitation, the Internet), and in any other means of distribution, publication or exhibition, whether now known or hereinafter created in connection with the Program, future programs, and the marketing, advertising and promotion thereof.

The choice to provide us with your personal information, either directly or through a third party, is always yours. However, your decision to withhold particular information may limit our ability to register you for an event, allow you to participate for an event or provide you with some of our products or services.

How your information is collected

Personal information may be collected in a number of ways, including: in person, over the phone, by mail, by fax, over the Internet, and from third parties who you have authorized to disclose personal information to us.

Web cookies are very small text files that are stored on your computer from a webpage to keep track of information about your browsing on that site. Through the use of web cookies, we may monitor the ads you see and the number of times you view them. The use of cookies also allows us to capture standard web traffic information, such as the time and date you visited our website, your IP address, and your browser information. In no circumstances do the cookies capture any information that can personally identify you.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that those third parties that disclose your personal information to us have first obtained your consent. If you believe that a third party has inappropriately disclosed your personal information to us, please contact that third party directly. If the third party does not sufficiently respond to your inquiries, please let us know immediately.

We take protecting your personal information seriously.   We will only disclose your personal information for purposes consistent with the terms of this privacy policy, if you have otherwise consented, or if otherwise required or permitted at law. We may provide personal information to our partners, corporate sponsors, business associates so they may be able to understand their brand visibility as well as possibly communicate with you about products, events and/or services that may be of interest to you. We may disclose personal information to third parties if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect our rights or property, or the rights, property and/or safety of you or a third party.

In the event of a medical emergency, we may disclose personal information to health care professionals or others if we reasonably believe the disclosure is necessary for your health and/or safety.

The type of information we are legally required to disclose may relate to criminal investigations or government tax reporting requirements. In some instances, such as a legal proceeding or court order, we may also be required to disclose your personal information to authorities. Only the information specifically requested is disclosed and we take precautions to satisfy ourselves that the authorities that are making the disclosure request have legitimate grounds to do so.

If desired, you may verify the accuracy and completeness of your personal information in our records. Despite our best efforts, errors sometimes do occur. Governing Law

This Policy and all related matters are governed solely by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Global Wave may perform activities, events, tournaments, competition etc outside of Canada whether on their own or through third parties. You acknowledge and agree that, as a result, your personal information may be processed, used, stored or accessed in other countries and may be subject to the laws of those countries. For example, information may be disclosed in response to valid demands or requests from government authorities, courts, or law enforcement in other countries.
